Today, it is difficult to refer to a landscape of our planet where there are no traces of human presence, and most of those that exist are already man-made landscapes.

However, the majority of human interventions on the territory - exploiting it, polluting it, and consuming it far beyond the planet's regenerative capacities - are irreversibly destroying it, affecting to varying degrees  the environmental quality of the world we live in.

The knowledge of the landscapes that surround us can contribute to the perception of its historical, patrimonial, cultural, social, economic, ecological or environmental importance.

After the success of the 1st Ibero American Congress in Landscape Studies, we will hold, in the same place, the second edition of this event, in a broader version, which will increase the number of communications presented.

This event thus presents itself as a privileged meeting forum for researchers and technicians, particularly from Iberian and Latin American countries, to exchange knowledge and discuss works and experiences that involve the knowledge of our Landscapes.
